Debbie's birthday dress BLOG TOUR: Day 5 - StraightGrainAugust 10, 2013
For the last day of the first week of the Debbie's birthday dress blog tour, An from StraightGrain is sharing her gorgeous dress. I am a big fan of An's blog and I was excited to be part of her Kids' Clothes Belgian Style series. An and I have since co-organised a year long sewing series called Secret Squirrel. If you haven't already read about it, you can read the introductory post here.
Anyway, An is one of those sewers that everything she touches turns to gold! She has had huge success with her first two beautiful patterns - the Bubble Dress and Tinny. I have made up her Tinny pattern twice and I'm sure I will use it again too. She will be releasing her third pattern - The Hanami Top and Dress later this month (pictured below).
An is a busy Mum from Belgium who works as a university lecturer, sews, makes patterns and has the most gorgeous daughter to sew for - the lovely Norah. An and I share a love for Marcel Marlier (the illustrator who inspired my pattern and her Tinny pattern). She spent hours on this dress (thankyou An!) as she tried out a new technique. Here is a sneak peak....
