Debbie's birthday dress BLOG TOUR: Day 1 - do guincho

August 05, 2013

Hi everyone!! Today is the first day of my blog tour for my first digital pattern, Debbie's birthday dress (For the duration of the tour, my pattern will be discounted by 20%.  Just type: BLOGTOUR1 at checkout to receive the discount).  To purchase my pattern, click here.

My first friend to be posting about my pattern is Marta from do guincho.  I first discovered Marta's blog a few months ago when I saw her fabulous 3D pleated dress tutorial on Project Run & Play.  I knew I loved Marta's style right away and I quickly asked her if she would like to be the last guest in my line up for my When we were young series.  Marta is lovely and is an amazing sewer.  She is a busy Mum who works as an architect (who lives in do guincho, Portugal) but squeezes in time to sew for her two gorgeous girls, Teresa and Ines.  How cute is this photo?!!!

Her photos are gorgeous and she takes time to photograph her girls in fun and interesting locations in her local area.  Marta kindly tested my pattern for me and she has since made two more "Debbie" dresses.  Here is a sneak peak....
To see more of Marta's gorgeous creations, head over to her lovely blog!!

I also have another lovely blogger to feature here today.  When I published my pattern 10 days ago, I posed a challenge...for the first blogger to purchase and blog about my pattern, that they would get a sneak peak at my next pattern (and also get it for free).  The lovely Tasha from I seamstressed took up the challenge and made this gorgeous dress!
Tasha's blog is only young (as is she) but she is one amazing sewer!  An ex seamstress, this girl has some serious talent and a really edgy style.  I think her blog is really going to go places!!  Thanks Tasha!

Stay tuned for the next two weeks to see the rest of the lovely bloggers who will be helping me out!!
